DALLAS (AP) — Millions of Texas residents are bracing for storms linked to Hurricane Patricia while recovering from heavy rains that caused flooding and knocked out power to thousands of people.

Experts say remnants of Patricia, a massive Category 5 storm, could reach southern Texas within a few days. The hurricane was heading toward southwest Mexico on Friday.

Rain from another storm system was falling Friday morning in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio, though no major flooding or damage has been reported.

A flash flood watch will be in effect through Sunday for the area. Coastal flood warnings also have been issued.

Heavy rains and lightning on Thursday led to flooding that floated several travel trailers and a mobile home away from an RV park in West Texas. No injuries were reported.
