Analysts raise Canadian crop estimates before 10/3 report 9/30/2014

Canada May Harvest More Wheat, Canola Than Forecast

     Sept. 29 (Bloomberg) — Canadian farmers will probably harvest more wheat and canola in 2014 than the government forecast in August, according to a survey of as many as 10 analysts by Bloomberg News.

     Estimates below are in millions of metric tons. Statistics Canada in Ottawa is scheduled to release its forecast at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 3. The previous report, released on Aug. 21, was based on surveys of 12,850 farmers from July 23 to Aug. 4.
